Rosemarie Ewing-James has over 30 years’ experience in the child welfare field. Currently the Associate Executive Director at Forestdale, Inc., Rosemarie provides administrative oversight of Forestdale’s direct service programs and is responsible for continued program compliance with all institutional, governmental, and regulatory guidelines. She is also responsible for client counseling on serious issues such as anger management, conflict resolution, and domestic violence. Rosemarie is deeply committed to the plight of children in the child welfare system and works diligently to ensure their needs are being met and that they are provided with the essential skills that would allow then to live full and productive adult lives.
Originally from Jamaica, West Indies, Rosemarie earned a Bachelors degree in Linguistics and Social Psychology from Swarthmore College and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy. Rosemarie is currently a member of the board of directors of Black Agency Executives and serves as the board Secretary. She is also a member of the Membership and Nomination of Governance Committee.
